A96 roadworks
I mentioned last week that resurfacing work would be taking place on the A96 soon around the junction with the B9006 to Ardersier and the B9006/B9090 to Cawdor with overnight closures and diversions. There’s now been some changes to this plan which is good news for those living alongside potential diversion routes which were being discussed.
The plan now is that the work will take place using an overnight convoy system from Sunday, 20th October to Saturday, 2nd November. It looks like this will be between 7:30pm and 6:30am.
In other traffic news the C1157 at Fornighty was due to be closed beginning on 7th October for BT works. That was delayed a week and will now start tomorrow, 14th October.
The U2997 behind Boath House in Auldearn will also be closed commencing on 21st October.
Highland Games
Officers, councillors, and members of the Games committee had a “debrief” meeting this week to discuss this summer’s Nairn Highland Games. Overall everyone thought it went well but there were some things which could have been done better so there’s now an action list of tasks to be done before next year’s Games.
Delnies
I continue to get emails from residents about the development at Delnies and one thing it does highlight is how people are often completely unaware of what’s going on in their community, something I’m trying to mitigate via this blog, so do share it with your neighbours.
