Last week’s post was one of my longest but curiously this week it’s going to be very short. I have actually been very busy with council work this week with six meetings over four days but much of it involved wider council issues and there’s little new I can report which is specific to Nairn.
However the Economy and Infrastructure met on Thursday and that approved the council’s new species champions. You can find the full list here, which also explains what the whole initiative is about, and I am now the species champion for the bottlenosed dolphin. That seemed appropriate as they visit Nairn often and I’ve also had the pleasure of watching them swim around me when sailing in the Moray and indeed cavorting off Chanonry Point, as caught in my photo above.
