It’s been a fairly quiet week for me ward wise other than case work. I did attend a busy Cawdor and West Nairnshire Community Council meeting on Monday, along with about a dozen villagers, but my main focus has been more general council business with two days in the Chamber discussing adult social services and being a director of a company on behalf of Highland Council.
So I wasn’t going to make a post this week however I’ve had some news this morning which is urgent, hence this late post.
As I mentioned last week SSEN are proposing to put in new 400kV pylons all the way from Beauly to Peterhead and that goes through our ward.
The phase 2 consultation is underway and is coming to Forres Town Hall on 25th April and Kingsmill Hotel in Inverness on 26th April, from 2-7pm in both cases.
We did ask that it should also come to Nairn and Cllr Jarvie has now succeeded in getting them to come but it’s at short notice and it’s this Wednesday, 26th April from 10am to noon in the Dava room at the Community and Arts Centre in Nairn.
So if this effects you, and I’m thinking particularly of those people south of Cawdor and in the Ferness area, then you might want to go along.
